Located on a rise in an undulating landscape, and attached to the N of rath (ME008-018001-). This is an overgrown D-shaped or subcircular overgrown area (dims c. 28m E-W; c. 25m N-S) area that slopes down to the N. It is defined by an earthen bank, and the outer bank of rath (ME008-018001-) extends from W of that rath to the W of this rath but morphs into a field bank NW-E where it meets a farm lane.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
