Located towards the top of the NE-facing slope of a hill. No feature is depicted on any edition of the OS 6-inch map but a rectangular area is clearly visible on vertical aerial photographs (GSIAP: N 683, 682) from the 1970s and also on OSI images from 1995 and 2005 and on Google Earth (04/05/2019). This is a slightly raised rectangular area (dims 16m NW-SW; 14m NE-SW) defined by low earthen banks (Wth 3m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5-0.6m) and external fosses or ditches (Wth of top 2.5m; ext. D 0.2-0.3m). There is no visible entrance, and it is probably a small tree plantation.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
