Located in an area with rock outcrop at the S edge of a fairly level plateau, close to the crest of the S-facing slope. This was described in 1969 (SMR file) as an upright stone (dims 1.2m NE-SW; 0.57m NW-SE: H 1.56m) in an area of scrub with another stone (L 1.25m; dims 1m x 0.55m) lying prone nearby. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 10 July 2007 Amended: 3 August 2022
