Loughcrew cemetery, site P1. Situated on a shoulder of high ground SW of the summit of Carnbane East. This is described by Conwell (1873, 65) as the remains of a cairn 'about eight yards in diameter (c. 7.3m)'. Listed as possible passage-tomb (Herity 1974, 239) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 6 March 2017
