Situated on a steep hillock in a low-lying undulating landscape. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 21m ENE-WSW; 18m NNW-ESE) defined by a slight bank that is largely reduced to a scarp (at NE: Wth 3.5m; H 1.6m; at SW: Wth c. 3.5m; H 2.1m) and an external berm (at NE: Wth 3m). The entrance could be at E where the berm is absent.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
