Situated in an undulating landscape. East and south of the rath (ME015-099----) is an area of about 9 acres (c. 3.5 ha) of small rectangular grass and scrub-covered fields (dims c. 40-60m x c. 12-25m) defined by low earthen banks (Wth 2-3m; H 0.2-0.5m). The fields run in lines NE-SW and include a small pond at its SW end. One of the fields has relict NE-SW cultivation ridge. Two houses can be identified amongst the fields.
