Situated on a low hillock. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 60m WNW-ESE; 55.5m NNE-SSW) defined by a slight earthen bank NNE-SE but largely by a low scarp (at W: Wth c. 3m; H c. 1.5m), with traces of a fosse SW-W. The original entrance is not identified. The visible profile may have been eroded away by 2000 (OSAP). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 26 February 2019
