Situated on a local prominence on a fairly level landscape. This is a circular grass-covered mound (diam. of base 11m E-W; 10m N-S; H 2.2m) with some bushes. There is a small, grass-covered quarry to the SE, and the late medieval house (ME017-019001-) is c. 130m to the E. (O’Sullivan 1955, 19) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
