Located at the S base of a low ridge on the S bank of a NW-SE section of the River Blackwater, with the stream c. 30m to the NE. This is a rectangular grass-covered area (dims 35m NNW-SE; 28m NE-SW) defined by earthen banks (at SW: Wth of base 6.5m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 1.35m) and outer fosses or moats (at SW: Wth of top 4.3m; Wth of base 2.6m; ext. D 0.55m), with outer banks on the NE and NW sides. An original entrance is not identified.
