Situated at the W edge of a ridge. This is a subcircular grass-covered area (dims 24m N-S; 19.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at N: Wth of base 4.2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.1m), which is incorporated into a field bank (at S: Wth of base 2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.8m) NE-S, with an outer fosse (at N: Wth of top 5m; ext. D 0.3m) and traces of an outer bank (at N: Wth of base 4m; ext. H 3m) NNW-NE. The original entrance is not identified.
