Situated on a rise in a fairly level landscape. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 40) defined by a single positive or fosse feature is visible on oblique aerial photographs (CUCAP: BGH 76; BGH 83). It is also visible on OSI aerial images (2005; 2018), and on Google Earth (14/07/2018; 29/06/2018) where a large N-S quarry trench, perhaps a souterrain, can be seen in the W interior.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
