Located on a fairly level landscape. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 79m NNW-SSE: 54m ENE-WSW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base 7-10m; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 1-1.2m) with some whitethorn bushes. There are traces of a fosse or a drain (at WSW: Wth of base 2m; ext. D 0.3m) but there is no identifiable original entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
