Located on a fairly level landscape. This is an oval grass-covered area (dims 79m NNW-SSE: 53m ENE-WSW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth of base c. 3m; int. H c. 0.5m; ext. H c. 1.5m) with some whitethorn bushes. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
