Located on a gentle SW-facing slope. This is a raised and circular but overgrown area (diam. 21m N-S; 21m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth of base 6.8-10m; int. H 0.6-0.7m; ext. H 1.5m) and an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5.8-6.6m; Wth of base 3-3.5m; ext. D 0.5-0.6m). There is an entrance (Wth of base 2.8m) at ESE. A large part of the bank has been removed at S-SW and the fosse has been widened into a water-hole S-WSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 27 August 2019
