Located on a slight S-facing slope. This was described in 1969 (SMR file) as a circular grass-covered area (diam. 58m) defined by the slight remains of an earthen bank with an external fosse. A second outer bank and fosse survived N-E, and the entrance may have been at E where the perimeter was badly eroded. It remains unplanted at the N edge of a coniferous forest but the bank and fosse are overgrown where they survive SE-W-NNE (Google Earth 012/06/2020).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
