The east cross is also known as the unfinished cross. The top of the cross and the top of its ring are missing, but it stands (H 3.1m; Wth 2.2m) on a pyramidal base (dims at base 1.65m x 1.65m; H 0.71m). The shaft (dims 0.75m x 0.45m) has raised uncut panels. The only carvings are a crucifixion and the women at the tomb on the E face, and some interlace. (Harbison 1992, vol. 1, 111-2)
See the attached image of its E face.
