Loughcrew, Cairn J. Excavated by Conwell, this kerbed cairn, 14m in diam., contains remains of a ruined passage-tomb opening to SE. There is one decorated orthostat and a decorated loose stone lying in the chamber area. (Herity 1974, 237; Shee 1981, 210) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
