Located on a terrace on the S bank of a W-E section of the River Blackwater and at the N foot of the Hill of Lloyd ridge. Archaeological testing (01E1045) in advance of industrial development revealed no archaeological features, and similar results were recorded (00E0523) by S. P. Johnston (excavations.ie 2000:0754).
