This is medieval house 9, which is located partly over but mostly just W of medieval house 7 on the E side of the mound and over the fill of the lower ditch. It is separated stratigraphically from medieval houses 8 and 7 which are in the same area but lie under it. The poorly preserved house consisted of parts of the N (L 2.2m) and S (L 2.4m) walls that are 1.8-2.4m apart, and a hard compact brown clay floor where there was a paved hearth (dims 0.45m x 0.4m). There was no clear evidence of the E and W walls and the floor sloped down steeply to the E (H 0.9m). (Eogan 2012, 129-31)
