Situated at the SE end of a broad NW-SE ridge and abutting the inner edge of the perimeter of the large enclosure (ME002-037002-) at E. This is a grass-covered rectangular area (int. dims 25-26.5m E-W; 16.5m N-S at E to 20.5m N-S at W) defined by a wall footing (Wth 1.2m; H 0.3-0.5m) on every side except the E. There is an entrance (Wth 3.5m) towards the N end of the W side. At the centre there is a possible hut-site (ME002-037004-) visible as a low collection of grass-covered stones, but it is a poorly defined feature.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
