Situated on a gentle S-facing slope. Topsoil stripping (02E0194) in advance of a gas pipeline identified as disturbed patches of heat-shattered stone (1A/25/2) which was completely excavated (02E0688). The patches of burnt stone material overlay a subcircular trough (dims 1.5m x 1.2m; D 0.4m) with three fills. There were two pits nearby and a thin spread of burnt stone (dims 5m E-W; 4m N-S) 0.8m distant at the closest point downslope to the S. A sample from the trough produced a C14 date of 2280-2030 cal. BC. (Byrne 2002, 2004, 2007)
