This is one of three decorated stones found in a ringfort in Ballinvalley, county Meath when it was levelled in the 1940's. This stone ‘8 feet by 5 feet (c. 2.45m x c. 1.5m)’ was profusely decorated with numerous cupmarks and a double penannular ring with two radials. This stone appears to have been reburied at the location. (Shee Twohig 2001, 120, C; Shee Twohig et al. 2010, 21)
