Situated on a slight E-W ridge in the valley of the W-E River Nanny, with the stream c. 190m to the N. The cropmark evidence for a ring-ditch (diam. c. 15m) defined by a single continuous fosse feature was identified on OS (1995) aerial photography. The field is called 'Killameshan' (pers. comm. Mr Colin Byrne, Briarleas, County Meath). It is also visible on Bing images (2011) and Google Earth (2013). Rath (ME027-100----) is c. 95m to the SSW and rath (ME027-101----) is c. 160m to the SE.
